Job Readiness Program

The AWARE Society, in partnership with the PCRS Society, offered the Surrey (Newton) Job Readiness Program, providing training and support to unemployed Surrey residents seeking employment.

The no-cost program helped participants gain confidence to find a job through:

• Daily employment skills training and job search guided by career professionals for up to 12 weeks
• Basic short-term training certificate courses (WorldHost, First Aid, Foodsafe, WHMIS)

To qualify, participants had to meet various eligibility requirements, be committed to working, motivated to find employment, and in need of assistance to find employment.
