North Fraser Métis Association

The AWARE Society has partnered with North Fraser Métis Association for the delivery of Cultural and HR Support of an Indigenous Case Manager located in the Fraser Works Coop as well as in the North Fraser Métis Association office.

Two AWARE Society employees have been hired in partnership with North Fraser Métis Association to provide case management services to all clients with a priority on the indigenous population. The North Fraser Métis Association provides cultural support to the shared employees as well as the Fraser Works Coop Team and the AWARE Society. This includes workshops, invitation to events and providing an Elder on an as need basis.

The North Fraser Métis Association assisted with the hiring process as well as the training ensuring the employees are provided cultural support, thorough training and ongoing support from all parties.

As well the North Fraser Métis Association provides AWARE with information, analysis and recommendations regarding cultural awareness training and support.
